Die Cut Masking with Joni

Hello Everyone! Joni here with more inspiration using the You Equal Kindstamp set. For today's card, I'll be sharing another way that you can use any die-cuts that you have to create custom masks.

To mask my white card panel, I simply die-cut three circles using the Love Mom Layers die from a piece of pink text paper cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" (A2 card size). I secured the sides of the card base with washi tape to the top of my desk and begun stamping the flowers from the You Equal Kind stamp set.

For the sentiment "miss your face" from That Is All stamp set directly onto the card base.

Next, I adhered the card panel on top of an A2 piece of Cupid's Bow cardstock. I also added another sentiment from the That Is All stamp set -"i just".

SPOILER ALERT: The That Is All stamp set has its own coordinating die-cut for cutting out the large brushed sentiments that will be available for purchase in the June 2016 release! Finally, I added some enamel dots in Autumn Splendor: Red and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins to finish off the card.

I hope you guys enjoyed! We cannot wait to show you the new Wplus9 June 2016 Release which will debut tomorrow,I am sure you will love it!

As always, thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have a marvelous day!

VIDEO: Creating Dimension with Kelly

Hello Crafters! I hope you all are enjoying your long weekend! We've been blessed with some pretty gorgeous weather this weekend and since it was my son's birthday party I can't tell you how grateful I am for it.

Since were on the the subject on blue skies and sunshine, let's hop right into the card!

I was going through my stash of WPlus9 looking for something to inspire me when I read that sentiment. Immediately a panda flying through the sky with a handful of balloons popped in my head. I kept the images really simple so I could play up a fun dimensional background.

I love a one layer card that appears to be multi-layered. It just makes me smile :) You can watch the card go from completely flat to seemingly layered in the video below.

I'm such a sucker for a framed image. It really enhances that clean look that I love so much. I'm also a much bigger fan of the card with that thick black border. Sometimes a quick tweek can take a card from something you like to something you love.

Thanks so much for joining me today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Spray Mist Marbling With Kara

Hi Guys! It's Kara and if you didn't know, I love marbling!  I've tried everything from copic refills to chalk pastels to nail polish!  Check out the Nail Polish Marbling tutorial I shared here this time last year.

When Dawn released the WPlus9 line of PURE Color Spray Mists I knew I had to try them as well.  The technique is much the same as with the nail polish.  I even made a quick video on Instagram showing you just how I did it.  You can check that out here.

I simply filled a small, shallow container with water.  Lightly spritz the water with your desired color of spray mist.  Swirl the colors together with the end of a paintbrush or artist spatula.  Place your cardstock onto the surface of the water and then remove.  The color adheres to the surface of the cardstock.  Allow the piece to dry and then it's ready for you to create with!

Experiment with different color combinations.  I chose a few of my favorites: Lake House, Sweet Gelato, Sweet Nectar and Bloomsberry.  Each piece turns out so unique.  Not wanting to cover up the beautiful marble design, I stamped a sentiment in the center from Love You More.  I stamped it in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

This card is for my husband.  We are celebrating 13 years on Tuesday the 31st!

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you try this out.  If you do, let me know!! I'd love to see.

MISTI Maynia

Today's card and video is part of MISTI Maynia. What is MISTI Maynia? It's huge - a FREE Mini MISTI - every day in the month of May! I know right! All of the details can be found below.

I've got to admit, I'm just a little bit jealous as I don't have the Mini MISTI just yet. But I do have the original MISTI stamping tool and love it! And that is what I've used in today's video to create my card.

Watch above or watch in HD at YouTube

Today's card takes it back to the basics. No crazy techniques or tricks. It's all about the color and stamping today. OK...maybe one little trick is in there. But you get the point, it's a "purist" card today. LOL

Our recently released You Equal Kind stamp set takes me back to my roots - my first love - Clean and Simple one layer.

I've always been a sucker for good imagery. When the images are strong, all I have to concentrate on is the layout and my color palette. Sometimes, removing all of the clutter really helps and can serve as a "design detox".
