VIDEO: No-Line Feathers & Florals with Kelly

Hello Crafters!

January has definitely arrived here in Ohio. It's 6 degrees outside. I am currently wearing 3 shirts, two pairs of socks, one pair of super heavy sweat pants and a robe. I am not joking. Do you know what I needed? Warm spring!

Fortunately, I had the Feathers & Florals stamp set waiting in the wings to save the day. Yay, flowers!

I ventured into the mostly terrifying world of no line coloring for this card. When I say it's terrifying let me clarify. It's frightening for me. I love a bold black outline. It's my happy little security blanket. However, I adore the soft look of no line coloring - so here I am, branching out.

You can see how I approached this technique in the video below.

All and all not too traumatic. LOL I really like the flow of the flowers and how they do look more transparent. Usually, my coloring is so bold, so it's nice to try something else every once in a while.

I especially like the detail of the white dots. I'm all about the little extra subtlety that it adds.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. So pretty! I need to try no-line coloring. Hope y'all warm up soon. Mother Nature is being ornery here in Texas. It was 14 degrees on Friday and we actually got some snow. Today it's in the 70s.

  8. Kelly your no line colouring looks amazing. Thanks for explaining the steps and showing them in your video. I'm off to have a go, I don't have copics so am going to try it with coloured pencils to see if I can do something similar. Sending you some sunny warmth from Australia we've just finished a week of temperatures of about 100*F, it's a much more pleasant 67*F today. Have a lovely day and stay warm. Cheers Donna Z :)
